About Jeremy

Hi, I’m Jeremy—an avid traveler with a deep curiosity for the world and the people in it.

Quick disclaimer - I’m NOT out traveling all the time. I DON’T travel just to make content. I hold a regular 8:00 - 5:00 job (o.k. I’m in construction, so it’s more can-‘til-can’t…). I save up for my trips and then I fly away and do the best I can. I firmly believe most anyone can do it too. You just have to plan and save…

My love for travel really began in 2016, during a trip to Germany. That’s when I like to say I contracted a serious case of late-onset wanderlust. Since then, I’ve traveled as often as my time and budget allow, chasing meaningful experiences rather than checklists.

Over the years, I’ve collected three visas, crossed land borders six times, and logged 14 stamped arrivals into new countries (with the matching departure stamps to prove I left!). Each stamp represents a myriad of stories, lessons, and new ways of seeing the world.

I have thoroughly enjoyed designing and curating my own trips. While guided itineraries certainly have their place, I’m drawn to creating my own adventures—choosing the places that matter to me, moving at my own pace, and discovering things organically. Travel, for me, is about forming my own perspective, not borrowing someone else’s.

I also believe that anyone can travel if they truly want to. Yes, it can be challenging. It can be uncomfortable. It can even be shocking at times. But the rewards—growth, perspective, connection—are always worth it.

I encourage anyone who can, to take at least one overseas trip in their lifetime and simply see what happens. And if you come back wanting more—if travel gets under your skin the way it did mine—then keep going. There’s a lot of world out there.

I’m just a regular guy (or close enough) who loves experiencing other cultures, learning along the way, and collecting stories instead of souvenirs. The Sojourn Experience is a way to share that journey—and maybe encourage you to start or continue your own.
